RIKEN Symposium: Newly installed GPUs on RICC and application to science

The symposium concluded successfully.

We replaced 100 GPUs install on RICC to NVIDIA C2075. This Fermi Generation GPU has a performance of 515GFlops per card, and 6.6 times faster than older C1060 GPU.

In this symposium, we invited researchers from lattice QCD, molecular dynamics, and computational or quantum chemistry. We have already installed libraries and applications which utilize GPUs on RICC, so users are ready to use them.

After this symposium we open a reception.
